Balloons Guide

Balloons in Clash of Clans are the skeletons that enjoy destroying defensive buildings by using hot air balloon more than destroying Walls like the others. Balloon the nightmare of all ground defense building like Mortars or Canons.

Some things you should know about Balloons:

• Balloon will be unlocked once you have level 6 Barracks.
• Like Wall Breakers, Balloons use bombs for attacking and do large splash damage.
• Balloon’s favorite units are defensive buildings.
• Balloons have quite slow attack speed. They have the slowest movement speed in Clash of Clans.
• Upon death, Balloons explode and do damage for all nearby buildings.

Attack Strategies for using Balloons in Clash of Clans

• Here are some attack tips for you while using Balloons with other troops. Because of their strength and price, Balloons are used in plenty of attack strategies such as Lavaloonion, LaBaGo, HoLoWiWi,… You can see all details for these attack strategies by clicking on their name!
• Lavaloonion is a great attack strategy for raiding Town Hall. You can see that all top players only use this strategy to get trophies.
• Always try to lure the Clan troops at first. Archers, Wizards or Minions will slow down or even stop your Balloons!
• You can use Balloons for killing the Clan troops because they can do splash damage and also deal damage upon death. Use you Barbarians and Archers to group them all together then release 1-2 Balloons to wipe them out! Easy!
• They are extremely powerful in Clash of Clans Single Player Campaigns. Almost campaigns can be finished easily with Balloons.
• They are nothing if they don’t stick together. Normally, five Balloons stack is perfect for destroying a Archer Tower and it will be nine if you want to destroy an Air Defense. You can drop 1-2 Balloons at first to work as a shield. When defensive buildings are attacking them, deploy couples of others Balloons.
• Come with them, all other fly units (except Healer) can create a lot of great army compositions!
• Strongly recommend to use Balloons with Haste Spell because they have bad attack and movement speed but their damage is perfect.With Town Hall 6 and lower, Balloons are really overpowered.

Balloons Defensive Strategies

• There are always 1-2 Balloons in your Clan Castle are perfect for defensing because there are a lot of players who just bring ground units such as Barbarians, Goblins,… for farming. They also cannot be killed by Lightning Spells and Poison Spell. You can see more about this at Best Troops for Clan Castle in War.
• Never use only ground clan troops for defensing because maybe you will face air attacks.
• Use double Air Bomb combo because low level Balloons can be easily destroyed by them.

TH8 War Base - Anti-Hogs/GoWiPe - Clash of Clans

TH8 War Base - Anti-Hogs/GoWiPe

This base has Anti-Dragon/GoWi/Hogs and plenty of other features. Let’s take a closer look to see guys!

Anti-Dragon Feature

In this base, the Air Sweeper can easily force the attackers using Dragons to attack from the back side since nobody wants to face the Air Sweeper, most new players at Town Hall 8 don’t know the AS well. Most of the time, attacker starts raiding from the bottom left side because there is a semi-exposed Air Defense there. This is such a big bait because of many Air traps nearby, which are always ready to stop any Dragon attack.

Here are some features of this TH8 War Base for anti-Dragon:

• Storages with high HP are used as shields for the core ADs.
• Barbarian King in the core can lure and distract the enemies.
• Centralized Air Defenses.
• Air Traps protect the most exposed AD.
• Archer Towers can cover the whole base.

• Okay so how to attack it with Dragons?
  Every base can be 3 starred, of course, so does this one. Luckily I meet this base couples of times in Wars and did 3 star it by using Dragloon coming from the bottom right with 1 Healing Spells and and 2 Rage Spells.
  It’s great to share If you have any other way to attack it. Definitely the best way to improve our base is thinking about what we would do If we were the attackers.

Anti-Hogs Feature

Because the Clan troops can be lured from either the bottom and bottom right so most Hog Rider attacks start from there. After spending couples of troops to remove the Clan troops, attackers usually want to attack from there because they don’t want to waste those first troops. Moreover, there is 1 Builder Hut at the very bottom, that’s the sweet place where most players want to take advantage of it to lure and take down CC troops. Sadly, that side is the biggest trap of this base and will always lead the Hog Riders to the Spring Traps and the Double Giant Bomb as you can see in the screenshot below:

Anti-GoWiPe Feature

As we all know, GoWiPe can 2 star every TH8 war base but getting the last star is much harder. Once the enemy troops are get into the core, they will trigger a lot of bombs, traps and get attacked by outside defensive buildings. This base also has quite high number of compartment so it is very hard to 3 star it with GoWiPe.

Dragons - Clash of Clans

All Dragons in Clash of Clans come from a mystery land of the fire and the fury. With their horrible power, they destroy all small villages without mercy… They scare nothing. They are Dragons.










Dragons guide

• You can unlock the Dragons once you have Barrack level 9.
• The Dragons can attack both ground and air units. They do range splash damage.
• Dragons have no preferred target, they attack everything which is the closest to them.
• Like most other troops, Dragons can be lured by the enemy Clan troops.
• At Town Hall 7 and 8, Dragon attack strategies are quite over-powered.

STRATEGIES

Attacking with Dragons.

• Although Dragon is quite strong at TH7 and 8 but you should remove as many Air Defenses as possible by using Lightning Spells (most popular), Balloons or Hog Riders. You can read more about this at: Lightning Spells Vs. Air Defenses.
• Dragon + Balloon is a perfect couple, while Dragons are destroying everything they can see, the Balloons find and destroy the Air Defenses.
• Dragons are also used a lot for boosting trophies.
• A Town Hall 8 player can always 3 stars a Town Hall 7 village with Dragons and ease.

• If you like Clan Wars and you are at Town Hall 7 or 8, upgrade your Air Defenses as soon as possible.
